Provincial Chapter North America Cuba

On November 20, the delegates to the Provincial Chapter gathered in the community of Guadalajara-Otranto. Upon our arrival, the sisters of the community had, as always, prepared everything in great detail. They welcomed each one of us
with great affection, so that the arrival, in the midst of the fatigue of the trip, was very fraternal. On November 21 we began our X Provincial Chapter. We lived the Eucharistic Celebration of the Holy Spirit, on the feast of the Presentation of Mary, presided by Father Arturo Reynoso, SJ. In the homily he invited us to open our mind, will and heart to be open to God’s will
in our chapter. He invited us to have care and understanding of each other, only then we can offer a good service to others. After the consecration, Juniora Greisi Blanco Ochoa renewed her vows for one year. At 10:00 a.m. we gathered outside the hall where the Chapter would take place, we were given a distinctive color that made us part of a community, we were invited to go to the hall and form a circle around the
Bible, the light of the candle and the image of Mary, who will accompany us in this chapter work. Hilda G. Ramirez Olvera, S. Provincial, was invited to take in her hands the branch that was on the floor and then the whole chapter assembly was invited to take the branch as well, thus forming unity among all of us, with the background music of a mantra invoking the Holy Spirit. Then we were invited to unite by the color of the different communities. A representative of each community took a candle that she lit from the fire of the candle, that light was the center of each community in which we were all invited to join hands to take the light of the
Spirit that will accompany our chapter work. This light was then placed on the different work tables. Hilda G. Ramírez Olvera read the opening words of the Chapter. In the afternoon, Sr. Hilda Gpe. Ramirez, Provincial Superior, read the Report on the state of the province, followed by the report of the Provincial Secretary and Provincial Treasurer.
