I made my eyes and ears for 25 years ago, when the first Religious of Mary Immaculate, Ir.Isabel Puentes, Ir.Paz Aris and Ir.Suely Vieira, arrived here in Inhuçu and with them came the Charism of Vicenta Maria. I believe that only one desire lived in their hearts: to deeply approach this people of God so that they may know His Word, the Word of God, so that they may be happy. Today I give thanks for all the mothers who have passed through here, and for these three who are now here, Ir.Vanda Barbosa, Ir.Marilac Arauso and Ir.Petra Jimenez, who with pains have to say goodbye, but they leave the seed launched, bearing fruit through the faithful committed with their Christian Being and continue with peace the missionary work, bringing the children closer to God, to Jesus Christ, to Our Lady, our Mother, this was the dream of St. Vicenta Maria, that the youth and all people live well and be saved. I also apologize on behalf of all of them, if any of them have caused someone’s suffering because of their frailties.
Today in our hearts there is pain for the farewell, for the love we have for this city, yes, and very much. We thank D. Javier who invited us at the beginning to be here and to carry out our mission, D. Demilson, for all his help and who has so much love for religious life, the priests who have passed through here and each one of you who are part of this precious place. With Saint Vicenta Maria we say: “Damos graças a Deus por tudo”! And we don’t say goodbye, but goodbye until then… take us into your hearts, because in our hearts you certainly already are!
