New Course at PARIS Residence

STARTING THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR IN THE NEW RESIDENCE…

One more summer the Paris house has become a work camp with only one goal: to prepare the residence for the girls. On August 17, the third floor of the new residence was handed over to us and that same day the work team composed of a young woman in formation MOLAVIM from Cordoba, the pre-novices of the province and the sisters of the house got down to work. From cleaning the rooms to putting a welcome gift for each girl, without forgetting the artistic hands that were in charge of painting the bedside tables, these days have been dedicated to the best way to welcome the girls this year. Fatigue and the little unforeseen events that arose were not able to overcome the spirit and enthusiasm of everyone to receive the girls. There were moments of laughter, barbecue, prayer and walks in Paris that also marked these days.

One afternoon the older sisters were engaged in the preparation of some bookmarks that were given to each girl as a welcome gift. It was a recreational afternoon in which sisters and pre-novices were able to work, sing and share a snack. All that has been done is the result of an intergenerational effort in which the experience of the older ones, their prayers and enthusiasm were mixed with the energy, fresh air and dynamism of the youngest members of the great Paris team. All of us at home have contributed our grain of sand according to our availabilities.

One day between discussions and jokes, a sister said “I would like to be a student in Paris to come to this residence”. This sentence seems to me to be very true. Not only because of the new and modern facilities in which we hope the girls feel at ease, but also because of the love, effort and enthusiasm that has been put into the work. After a few intense days, on Friday, August 29, the older sisters were able to visit the new facilities and see the result. The joy and surprise that could be read on their faces is a reflection that with this work, once again, “the girls have triumphed”.

The pre-novices decided to share with everyone a little piece of their experience here. “We are grateful for the opportunity to be here and to be able to lend a hand to the work on the house. This has allowed us to see more closely the efforts that have been made so far to better welcome the girls in our new home. This time it was our turn to be in the backstage of the RMI and to see all the work that goes into welcoming the girls. With this experience we took with us a great learning experience on a personal and community level, getting infected by the enthusiasm and attention that the sisters put into every detail. “
