M Daria: Sharing from the pained soul…

Dearest Sisters: In these moments of so much pain, we need to feel closer to each other… We feel that what happens in a Community moves us and shakes the whole Congregation… This is how I am perceiving it in these last weeks with more strength as the situation among our Sisters worsens…. Our hearts bleed! The Congregation is bleeding… This morning one more Sister was leaving for the Father’s House… and at this very moment, when I was about to communicate with you, a trembling voice called out, another one went out… One of the Pamplona Community, Sr. Ma. Carmen Elizondo and the second at the Motherhouse, Sr. Ma. Aurora Delfa…

St. Teresa tells us that “in hard times, strong friends of God…” At this moment we find ourselves submerged in this storm that is battering all of Humanity, invisible arrows that pierce the flesh of the most vulnerable, there we also find our Sisters… each one that falls into the furrow, under the weight of the storm, is like a slab that crushes us, oppresses the heart and leaves us breathless… It is time to raise our eyes, to contemplate the “tree of the Cross where Christ, the Savior of the world, was nailed…” to pray and give thanks for this anchor of salvation…

Yes, Sisters! Vicenta Maria also tells us that“prayer makes everything easier…” and, supported by the promise of Jesus: “ask and it will be given to you…”, we unite in a chain of supplications because the UNION is strength… Thus, we can communicate with greater ease and help each other to “carry each other’s burdens…”, to live in communion with those who suffer from the disease and those who try to help them, often helpless because they can do nothing more than trust and pray… To pray insistently to the Lord of Mercies so that He may enliven our Faith, sustain our Hope and that we may live in fullness the Love that can do all things…. all things are attainable!!!

This space is open to all the Sisters of the Congregation, so that like Vicenta Maria, every day we can communicate, share the reality that we live and encourage and support each other in the struggle to overcome the harshness of this moment that we are living in Europe and can be seen in other continents, so you can put the appropriate remedies so that this evil does not do as much damage as it is causing here.

With a big hug and all your sister’s love,

Daría, rmi
