Feast of St. Vicent Mary, in Paris

Dear Sisters,
We would like to share with you the experience we had on St. Vicenta Maria’s day. The greatest gift was undoubtedly the possibility of celebrating the Eucharist in our chapel after 2 months and 10 days celebrated by our chaplain, Father Carlos Tobes, a Claretian. It was a solemn and endearing Eucharist that filled us with joy and gratitude. We were accompanied by the two MOLAVIM of the house: Charo and Elsa.
It was a very nice family moment, in our prayer we had present all the girls who were in our house this year and all the people from the social center, the French classes, the friends of always, the old schoolgirls who could not participate because of the pandemic.
Another very touching moment was the online prayer meeting with all the sisters of the Province, MOLAVIM, and some young women from our houses that we shared in the afternoon. The theme we chose was “Saint Vicenta Maria: Fraternity and Hope in times of coronavirus”. A prayer at a distance but not distant. We wonder if there is room for hope in all that we are experiencing and if there are signs of fraternity in the midst of this storm. We have realized that there is hope and that fraternity is possible and tangible. Vicenta Maria has united us and her words have helped us to recognize the importance of goodness, of continuous conversion, of concrete gestures and of service as pillars of hope and fraternity.
A prayer in several languages as we are used to in our European Province. It was nice to pray together, to sing. The gesture that one of the communities proposed to us with the wool threads intertwined spoke to us of the importance of “weaving” relationships, where each one puts his “thread”, welcomes “the thread” of the other and thus, even in the midst of difficulties, fraternity is continually built and rebuilt.
We thank the Lord for all that He gives us and for the creativity that has allowed us to meet and pray together.
A hug to all of you and we remain united in prayer.
