Being RMI in social networks.

#RMIenRed

Buitrago de Lozoya, Friday, April 03, 2020.

We are present from the novitiate to share what our community has experienced during these days.

We were offered the opportunity to participate in an on-line course on the presence in social networks as an instrument of evangelization from our being RMI.

The speakers were Srs. Belén Igeño and Mª Digna Díaz. Sr. Belén helped us to be aware of social networks and to give them a positive approach. Sr. Mª Digna introduced us to Santa Vicenta María as a great communicator, an influencer who was clear about the message she wanted to transmit. Everything we have experienced in recent days has made us reflect on our current use of networks, taking into account their potential and also their risks. Looking to St. Vicenta Maria we have realized, once again, that our being RMI novices must embrace all areas of our life: what we are, what we do and what we communicate.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have received this course, with the novelty of being the first on-line course in the Congregation, due to the extraordinary circumstances we are experiencing. A course that shows in a practical way the benefits that these means offer us, not only for the formation but also for the proximity despite the distance (connected from Via Cassia to Buitrago de Lozoya), with the surprise of being able to have a moment of encounter with the Mother General and her Council. We are also grateful for the way the course has been conducted, which has been very dynamic and enriching, interspersing lectures with teamwork and moments of prayer and reflection.
