6th World Day of Prayer and Reflection against Trafficking in Persons

Basilica Sant’Antonio da Padova in Laterano, Via Merulana, Rome, 8 February 2020

In so many parts of the world, trafficking is a plague that strikes indiscriminately at everyone, but especially at the poorest and those who for various reasons can be defined as the “last”, the “discarded” of our society. Those living on the margins and the weakest, such as women and children, are the privileged victims of injustice and abuse. May St. Bakhita intercede for us and for so many Giuseppina Bakhita of our time.
